ACTTAB's online account application process makes it easy to create a new account and deposit money using a credit card. By following four easy steps this process makes it easy to start betting either on the internet or over the phone within minutes, follow the steps below to see how.

1. Opening the application and accepting terms and conditions
Before beginning the account creation process it should be remembered it will be necessary to:
If you meet these conditions then the first step is to open the account creation form, this can be done by either clicking on 'open an account' from the drop down menu which is available on all pages or by clicking on the 'open an account' yellow icon situated on the homepage.

This will then trigger the ACTTAB account creation form to appear in a pop-up window that will resemble the one shown below.

This first page displayed on the form will be the terms and conditions page. It is important that these conditions are read through and understood as they contain the legal rights and obligations of both ACTTAB and the account holder. Once the terms and conditions have been read and understood click on the 'I Accept' button found at the bottom of the window to proceed as shown below.

2. Accepting the ACTTAB Privacy Consent
The second page you will see will be the ACTTAB Privacy Consent. This page contains information about the possible disclosure of personal information to various organisations and also includes a link to ACTTAB's Privacy Statement.

Once yu have read and understood this information click on the "I Accept" button at the bottom of the page to proceed to the next page. If you decline to accept you will not be able to proceed with opening an ACTTAB Betting Account.
3. Completing the ACTTAB account application form
Once you have accepted the terms and conditions the ACTTAB account application form will appear. You will then be required to enter your personal details. Carefully enter your personal details and ensure that all mandatory fields denoted with an asterisk are entered and the constraints placed on fields such as PIN and Internet password are followed.

When you are satisfied that you have entered the required information click the 'Submit Details' button at the bottom of the form as shown below. If there are any problems with any of the information entered on the application an appropriate error message will direct you about how to address the problem before you can progress to the next stage.

4. Accepting Credit Card Conditions of Use and entering credit card details
After submitting your details the next form that will appear is the credit card details form. This form will list the terms and conditions regarding credit card usage in conjunction with an ACTTAB account. These should be read carefully in order to understand the restrictions in place on credit card usage. Further information about these restrictions can be found in the 'Restrictions placed on new accounts' section of this tutorial. Once you have read and understood the credit card terms and conditions click the 'Accept' button towards the bottom of the page in order to unlock the credit card details section.. In order to proceed it is important to ensure that the name on the credit card matches the name of the account holder and be aware that the minimum deposit is $50. It should also be noted that a fee of $3 plus 30 cents GST is required to process the transaction. Once you have entered your credit card details click on 'Submit Details' to advance to the final stage of the account creation process.

5. Receiving confirmation of account creation and recording important information
After successfully submitting the credit card details the final screen that will be displayed is the confirmation screen. This screen will confirm your new Betting Account Number and Credit Card transaction details. It would be a good idea to print this screen for future reference. The account number given can be used in conjuction with the PIN you entered on the ACTTAB account application form to logon and place bets on the ACTTAB internet site or place bets through ACTTAB's phone betting services. An example of the confirmation screen can be seen below.

Once you have created a new account you may begin betting immediately. In order to login to the ACTTAB website to commence betting the ACTTAB account number and PIN you were designated when creating your account will be required. Then it is as simple as selecting what you want to bet on, either racing, sports or keno and then entering your account details in the appropriate place. An example of how this would be done for racing can be seen below. Sports and Keno logins can be done in a similar way.

If the account has been created using the internet account creation process:
Upon logging in from the ACTTAB website as outlined above in the 'Logging into new account section' the left hand side menu will contain a menu item entitled 'Funds Transfer'. This link can be used to top-up an account with a credit card.

After clicking on the above mentioned menu item a popup window will appear asking for credit card details. The credit card details should be entered in the same way as they were when the account was created but it should be noted that the Internet password entered in the ACTTAB account application form will also be needed for futher authentication purposes. Once you have entered your credit card details and Internet password click 'Submit Details' as shown below: Note: a fee will be required to process the transaction of $3 plus 30 cents GST.

If your deposit is successful a receipt confirmation window will appear. It would be a good idea to print this for future reference.

If the account was not created with the internet account creation process
If your account was not created with the internet account creation process upon logging into your account you will not see a 'Funds Transfer' menu item in the left hand side menu but rather a 'Register Account' menu item. This registration process must be completed before funds transfers can be made.
After clicking on 'Register Account' a small window will appear that will allow you to enter your details that will make your account capable of making deposits using the Internet. The first information that will appear in the window are the terms and conditions regarding credit card usage. These must be read and understood before proceeding to enter the extra details required by the process. Once you understand these terms and conditions click the 'I Accept' button as shown below.

Once you have unlocked the details entry section, proceed to enter the details requested paying particular attention to the Internet password which will be required for making funds transfers once the account has been registered. Once you have entered the required information click 'Submit Details' to complete registration as shown below.

After submitting your details a confirmation window that looks like this will appear:

Once these steps have been completed the next time you login the menu will look the same as when an account was created through the online process and the steps applicable to that section which are outlined above can be followed to make a funds transfer.
As stated in ACTTAB's terms and conditions, newly created accounts are subject to an identification confirmation process. Until this process has been completed certain restrictions are placed on the account. Betting and depositing is allowed however they are restricted to ensure that risks from credit card fraud are minimised

Note: Once an account has been approved by the AUSTRAC 100 point identification process accumulated daily deposits will be restricted to $500 a day as opposed to the limit of $200 listed above.
