ACTTAB is committed to ongoing support of the community and consistently provides substantial sponsorship to major events in the ACT.
Since the inaugural event in 2005, ACTTAB has enjoyed a major sponsorship role in “Celebrate in the Park”, one of Canberra’s largest community events. This event takes place in Commonwealth Park each year and features popular Australian live entertainment appealing to all members of the community. 30,000 Canberrans turn out each year to enjoy the festivities and ACTTAB looks forward to continuing its involvement in this significant community event.
In conjunction with ClubsACT, ACTTAB is a partner in the Clubcare Program, which was developed by Lifeline Canberra to provide timely crisis and ongoing gambling and financial counseling information to patrons of participating clubs and ACTTAB.
ACTTAB continues to provide assistance to a large range of community and charitable organisations, sporting groups and individuals in support of various projects, including:
- The Brumbies – ACTTAB is a long-term sponsor of Australia's most successful provincial rugby union team.
- The Canberra Raiders – ACTTAB is a long-term sponsor of the Green Machine.
- The National Multicultural Festival - ACTTAB continues to support this annual celebration of Canberra's multicultural community. This sponsorship helps festival organisers attract a wide and varied range of entertainment for all ages and ethnicities.
- Live in Canberra - ACTTAB is proud to be a part of this ongoing ACT government initiative that entices people from all parts of the globe to re-locate to Australia's capital.
- Community AFL - ACTTAB has played a significant role in bringing top level AFL to Canberra through the Community AFL initiative. This sponsorship enables Australian football fans to see the game's elite players in action at Manuka Oval.
- Canberra Museum and Gallery - ACTTAB is a strong supporter of arts in the community and has an agreement in place with the Canberra Museum and Gallery whereby the gallery is able to purchase new and innovative works by local artists each year.
- Tony Campbell Cup Day - Tony Campbell was associated with Canberra racing for 29 years and passed away on 22 May 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer. ACTTAB has been the major sponsor of the Tony Campbell Memorial Race Day at Thoroughbred Park since its inception in 2007. The day celebrates the life of a truly special Canberran.
